ALBANY, N.Y. – Rock musician Bret Michaels is cancelling his performance at the Soldier On concert.
Michaels was scheduled to perform at the Soldier On Benefit concert at the Times Union Center but had to cancel due to a medical emergency.
A post on Michaels’ website says the rocker has a flu virus that is causing diabetes complications.
Michaels’ camp released the following statement, “Regrettably Bret Michaels will not be able to performance tonight at the Times Union Center due to continued illness and diabetes complications related to the Nora flu virus. His apologies to all the fans. His team is hoping that this will all be under control and Bret will be better in the next few days.”
Local country band Skeeter Creek will now open the show, and the Marshall Tucker Band and Charlie Daniels Band will do extended sets.
The concert starts at 7 p.m.
