Save East Greenbush to host gambling speaking event

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. — A gambling expert will speak in East Greenbush Thursday to talk about the impact of casinos in small towns, particularly the negative components.

East Greenbush is one of the many proposed sites to house one of upstate New York’s four casinos and the group Save East Greenbush is hosting the event.

Les Bernal, the national director of the Stop Predatory Gambling Foundation, will be presenting at 7 p.m. at the first United Methodist Church on Gilligan Road.
