Runners take on Albany for CDPHP workforce team challenge

ALBANY, N.Y.—More than 9,000 runners will take to the streets of Albany Thursday as part of the annual CDPHP workforce team challenge.

The crowd is expected to be record breaking with 9,700 participants.

The previous high for the event was just over 9,300 in 2012.

The 3.5 mile road race begins in front of the New York State museum on Madison Avenue at 6:25 p.m.

The runners and walkers represent teams from more than 480 organizations.

Road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect before and during the race.
