ALBANY, N.Y.—A Cohoes man with three previous felony Driving While Intoxicated convictions pleaded guilty to drunk driving Thursday.
Paul Etzel, 31, pleaded guilty to one count of Driving while Intoxicated on Thursday.
On March 9, Etzel was stopped after driving a vehicle with a broken headlight. Officers noticed multiple physical signs of intoxication and detected the odor on his breath.
Etzel was removed from the car and failed multiple sobriety tests.
At the time of arrest, Etzel was on Felony Probation stemming from a January 10, 2012 and April 5, 2012 conviction of Driving While Intoxicated.
The guilty plea entered by Etzel on Thursday was his fourth Felony of Driving While Intoxicated since 2008.
When sentenced on July 17, Etzel faces 1 2/3 to 5 years in State Prison.
