ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Union men’s lacrosse team was reunited with their captain on Wednesday.
Nate Greenberg, captain of Union’s lacrosse team, had his career cut short due to a cancer diagnosis.
After battling Ewing’s Sarcoma for the last eight months, Nate underwent one of his final Chemotherapy treatments Wednesday morning in New York City. Following his treatment, he immediately flew to Rochester to reunite with his brothers.
With Nate’s team fighting for a spot in the final four in the NCAA tournament, Nate said there’s only one thing that could cap off such a special day.
“Hopefully we can pull out the ‘W’ and that could make a sweet ending for today,” said Nate.
Nate will be back in the classroom next year after being forced to take a medical leave from school, and he will also be back on the lacrosse field.
