BETHLEHEM, N.Y. – Bethlehem residents held a forum Friday night to address their concerns about trains carrying bakken crude oil through the area.
A train carrying the volatile oil derailed last year in Canada killing 47 people. A train derailed in Virginia in April igniting a massive fire.
Many expressed concerns over Global Partners plans to expand at the Port of Albany. The company wants to put in boilers to heat petroleum making it easier to transport.
