Troy City Council meets over demolition projects

TROY, N.Y. – The Troy City Council held a special meeting to discuss recent controversial demolition projects.

The meeting was held Thursday to determine if public safety was compromised during the projects, including the demolition of the old King Fuels Site in South Troy.

Work was actually stopped at the site over the concerns.

Councilmembers also heard more on the demolition of a series of buildings next to the Bombers Burrito Bar on King Street.

Minutes before the meeting started, Troy’s Mayor Lou Rosamilia called the hearing a “witch hunt.”
