Local high school advocates for cellphone free roads

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—Advocating for cell-phone free roads is the focus of a program at a local high school Friday.

Students at Mohonasen high school will hear from Jacy Good.

Good was involved in a car crash that killed her parents in 2008, and left her with permanent physical and cognitive injuries.

The accident was caused by a driver on his cell phone.

Good now travels around the county to talk about the dangers of distracted driving.

Her visit comes as part of the school’s effort to promote a safe prom and graduation season.
