ALBANY, N.Y.—A man pleaded guilty to Bethlehem and Colonie break-ins on Thursday.
James Hakkenberg, 47, pleaded guilty to one count of Burglary in the second degree.
On June 19, 2013, Hakkenberg entered a home in the town of Bethlehem and stole several items including a laptop and digital camera.
On the afternoon of June 21, 2013, Hakkenberg entered a separate residence in Bethlehem and stole electronics, a television, collectible cards, and a 2009 Honda CRV. He broke a window to enter the home, cutting himself in the process.
Additionally, on June 24, 2013, Hakkenberg attempted to break into a residence in Colonie when a neighbor called the police. Police determined that he had driven the previously stolen Honda CRV to the Colonie house.
Hakkenberg faces 12 years in State Prison with 5 years of Post-Release supervision when sentenced on May 29.
