Capitol lawn sees additional sod work

ALBANY,
N.Y. — Many can remember the massive anti-SAFE Act rally last February in West
Capitol Park that officials blamed for thousands of dollars in damages.

The state
said it spent $60,000 to repair grass damaged by all the foot traffic – and now
the state is working on the grass again.

But this
time, there's no controversy.

The state's
Office of General Services tells us this is just routine maintenance, and also
fixing up a little bit of damage caused from the crowds during the Saint
Patrick's Day Parade.

In all,
OGS says about ten percent of the grass was fixed.
