FONDA, N.Y. – State Police arrested a Tribes Hill man on
several charges, including Rape and Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child.
David Andrews was arrested after an ongoing investigation by
the State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The investigation revealed the 61-year-old made arrangements
with an adult male on two separate occasions via the internet and provided the
man with a child less than 13 years of age for the man to engage in various
sexual acts with the child.
The investigation also revealed Andrews engaged in various
sexual conduct with a child less than 13-years-old on multiple occasions over the
course of several months.
Andrews was charged with Rape in the First Degree, Criminal
Sexual Act in the First Degree, Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child in the
First Degree, Predatory Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
Andrews was arraigned in the Town of Mohawk Court and
committed to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000
bond. He is scheduled to appear in court April 15.
