ALBANY, N.Y.—Family members, loved ones, and survivors of crime
victims will join law enforcement and elected officials on Friday.
Memorial bricks will be dedicated that will become part of the
state's Crime Victims Memorial and Walkway at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
More than 700 crime victims are remembered at the memorial,
which was established in 1996.
This marks the 18th Crime Victims' Memorial Brick
Walkway Dedication Ceremony at the New York State Crime Victims' Memorial.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has proclaimed with week of April 6
as Crime Victims' Rights Week in New York State. 19 crime victims will be
dedicated later this spring.
The ceremony will take place at 1 p.m.
