Corinth man arrested for computer theft

BRUNSWICK, N.Y.—A Corinth man was arrested on Thursday for
computer theft.

Richard Berg, 36, was charged with Petit Larceny and
Resisting Arrest.

On April 10, the Brunswick Walmart contacted police and
reported that a subject had fled the store carrying a computer.

When police found Berg, he fled on foot but was soon found
and taken into custody.

The computer, valued at $498, was located undamaged where it
had been hidden by Berg.

Berg was sent to the Rensselaer County jail in lieu of $1,000
cash and $5,000 bond.
