18-year-old accused of sexually assaulting teen on bus trip

ALBANY, N.Y. – State Police have arrested an 18-year-old for
allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old.

According to authorities, State Police received a complaint from Albany Medical Center on a report
of a a possible sexual assault of a 15-year-old female. 

Troopers responded to Albany Medical Center
and interviewed the victim who stated she was on a bus trip from Utica to
Albany when an 18-year-old male sat next to her. She said that during the trip,
the suspect identified himself as Deronn
Pool of Wynantskill. Pool allegedly began forcibly touching intimate
parts of her body which left visible bruises.

The victim got off the bus and immediately
went to the hospital. Police say she was treated by medical staff who then
contacted the State Police.

An investigator from the State Police Bureau
of Criminal Investigation identified and located Pool.  He was arrested
and processed at SP Albany where he was charged with endangering the welfare of
a child and forcible touching, both misdemeanors.  

Pool was issued an Appearance Ticket
directing him to return to the City of Albany Court later this month.
