ALBANY, N.Y.—The April 1 deadline is moving in and state law makers say
there are still unresolved issues on New York's budget.
Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver said Pre-K and other education issues still
need to be agreed upon.
Silver stated that he is optimistic that they can agree on a budget on time.
State leaders hoped to resolve final differences and print legislation
Friday to clear the way for Monday voting.
Procedure normally requires bills to sit on lawmakers' desks for three days.
