Assembly intern arrested for petit larceny

ALBANY,
N.Y. – State Police arrested an Assembly intern for possession of stolen
property.

Shanika
Forbes, 22, was arrested and charged Thursday for Criminal Possession of Stolen
Property and Petit Larceny.

Forbes
is employed as a part-time intern at the Capitol for Assemblyman Samuel Rogers.
She was found to be in possession of a cell phone belonging to an attorney
employed by the NYS Assembly.

Forbes
was issued an appearance ticket for both charges to appear in Albany City
Police Court on March 28.
