Police: 2 UAlbany students arrested for robbery, assault on campus

ALBANY, N.Y. – A University at Albany student was assaulted
and robbed on Indian Quad, according to the UAlbany Police Department.

Police say no weapons were displayed or used during the
assault that occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday. The male victim was
transported to the hospital, treated and released.  

University Police have identified and arrested Kareem
Abdelmonim and Stephen Casciola, both University at Albany students, in
connection with the assault and robbery.

Casciola and Abdelmoneim
were charged with Robbery, Assault, Grand Larceny and Conspiracy  and arraigned at Guilderland Town Court. They
were both remanded to the custody of the Albany County Sheriff on $20,000 Bail.

The victim in this case went to the location under the
belief that the assailants were looking to sell him an electronics item.
