Officials moving forward with casino application process

ALBANY,
N.Y. — Officials say they plan to move forward with the casino application
process by March.

That's
despite a delay in seating a full panel for the Casino Gaming Commission.

But
a senate committee is expected to vote next week to approve a chairman for that
board.

In November,
Proposition One, which will allow seven Las Vegas-style casinos to be built in New
York, passed statewide.

The
first four casinos will be built upstate — with at least one of them likely in
the Capital Region.
