Snow causes building to collapse in Troy

TROY, N.Y. – Firefighters in Troy responded to a building collapse Thursday afternoon.

The call for a building collapse came in around 4:25 p.m. Thursday at 106 3rd St. in Troy.

The collapsed building was a garage located next to a bar called The Ruck.

The north wall and roof fell due to snow and rain accumulation on the building's roof, and the building being an older structure.

No one was injured, but a vehicle did obtain substantial damage.

The building is expected to be demolished Friday.
