ALBANY, N.Y. – Carmine's has been seized by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

According to documents, the property has been seized for nonpayment of taxes, and is now in possession of the state.

There are currently four liens listed against the property on the tax department's website. Two liens are from last August, one from September, and another from October. The liens total $19,091.

The spokesman for the NYS Tax Department is working with the
business to reopen. He also says there is a payment plan available to help
businesses or people with outstanding debt pay off their balance.  He said Carmine's could take up such a
payment plan and reopen sooner rather than later.
