Troy City Council member says Kokopellis should not be closed

TROY, N.Y. — A member of
the Troy City Council says the bar where a weekend brawl happened should not be

District 4 councilmember Bob
Doherty spoke at the State Liquor Authority meeting on Thursday. The meeting
was not open to the public, but he was allowed to make a statement regarding
the bar, Kokopellis.

The meeting focused on a
complaint filed against the bar, which may be facing violations because of the
recent issues.

The SLA says co-owner Barry
Glick violated business law by hiring security staff as independent contractors
and was unable to maintain order at the business.
