Police investigate Watervliet bank robbery

WATERVLIET, N.Y. – Police are investigating a robbery at a Watervliet Bank of America branch on Friday.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, approximately 5'10″ tall. He has light facial hair and is wearing glasses. The suspect appeared to be in his mid-late thirties. He was wearing a maroon ball cap with an unknown logo on front and side and a light blue or gray jacket with an unknown logo on the left chest.

No weapon was displayed or implied and no note was passed during the robbery. The suspect fled in a taxi cab with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery comes after First Niagara Banks in Troy and North Greenbush were robbed. 

In Troy, police say a white male with a black North Face jacket and tan pants got away with an undetermined amount of cash. The North Greenbush suspect is described as a man with a scarf over his face and white hat. He also made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
