Fire put out at parish house of North Adams church

NORTH ADAMS – Firefighters made quick work of a Saturday Evening fire at the attached parish house of the All Saints Episcopal Church on Summer Street.

According to a lieutenant with the North Adams Fire Department, crews were called the church around 8 p.m., heading to the third floor of the parish house.

While it didn't take long to put out the flames, authorities aren't sure on how badly the building was damaged.

For the most part, the department says, flames were kept to the room on the third floor where the fire started. It did not spread to the church itself.

The investigation into what the caused the fire was just beginning Saturday night, as crews remained on scene to keep an eye on any potential hotspots.

No injuries were reported.

Crews from the Adams Fire Department were called in to assist.
