BRUNSWICK, N.Y. – Three people have been arrested for an
attempted burglary, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say that on Thursday around 2:30 a.m., a
homeowner called 911, reporting that people were on his property and attempting
to gain entry to his home.

Rensselaer
County Deputy Sheriff's say two suspects were taken into custody at the scene,
after they were found hiding in nearby bushes on the property. They say two
other suspects fled the scene on foot.

According
to authorities, one of the subjects reported his vehicle stolen, but later
admitted he was a participant in the attempted burglary scene. He was taken
into custody.

The
homeowner allegedly found a “self-defense” pistol in the bushes behind his
residence where two of the suspects had been standing, say the Sheriff's
Office. They say the pistol fires less lethal pellets, but has the appearance
of a Semi-Automatic Glock pistol.

Keith
Hughes Jr., 18, Bryant John, 19, and Kyle Knox, have been charged with
Attempted Burglary 2nd, and Criminal Mischief 4th.

Investigators
with the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office say they are still trying to locate
a fourth suspect, identified as Luis Rosa, 17, of Troy.

If
anyone has any information regarding Rosa's whereabouts, they are urged to
contact Investigators at 518-266-1983 or the Tip line at 518-270-0128.
