RUPERT, Vt., – Vermont State Troopers say they have arrested a New York man for DUI involving a snowmobile.
According to authorities, the Washington County man was located by State Troopers who were responding to a called of a stranded snowmobiler.
Upon arrival, Troopers located the man at a residence on Vermont Route 3015. He told State Police that he got his snowmobile stuck and was separated from his group, according to authorities.
State Police say a strong smell of alcohol was detected on the man's breath. He took standard field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
Police say he also exhibited symptoms of frostbite on his neck. He was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center by Salem Rescue.
He was cited to appear at Bennington Court in late January.
