Troy man killed in I-87 collision

CHESTER, N.Y. – A 54-year-old Troy man
died Thursday in a fatal collision in the Town of Chester.

State Police in Warren County
investigated a weather-related fatal motor vehicle collision Thursday night in
the southbound lanes of I-87, just north of exit 25, in the Town of Chester.

At about 6:45 p.m., Fadle A. Assalami,
54, of Troy, was driving southbound on I-87, when he lost control of his 2001
Honda Accord during slippery driving conditions and was subsequently struck in
the driver's side by a commercial box truck traveling southbound from Lake
Placid to Amsterdam.

The driver of the commercial truck was
not charged.
