ALBANY, N.Y. – CDPHP employees helped to build a home with
Habitat for Humanity Capital District on Saturday.
The building began at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at 204 Sheridan
Avenue in Albany.
“Build Day” has marked the end of a fundraising campaign
which lasted through 2013. CDPHP employees raised more than $40,000 for Habitat
and Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar.
The two organizations work as partners to provide homes and
educational opportunity for local families.
When the home is completed, it will be owned by Rushel
Skein, a single mother of three who is studying to be a registered nurse. Skein's
daughter is part of the Sponsor-A-Scholar program at Albany High School.
