ALBANY, N.Y. — On Christmas day, thousands received a warm meal at the Capital City Rescue Mission.
It takes about 1,200 volunteers helping throughout the season, to make the dinner possible each year.
From ham and sweet potatoes to vegetables and pie, the volunteers at the Capital City Rescue Mission did it again. For the 64th year, thousands of people were fed at their annual Christmas lunch.
And what they do on just on Christmas alone costs the mission about 2,500 every year. That's why volunteers throughout the season are vital to feeding and providing toys to thousands during the holiday.
