GLENMONT, N.Y. – A employee at a local buffet has been sentenced to prison for identity theft.
Heng Li, 27, was sentenced to two and a third to seven years in State Prison for using a credit card skimmer device to steal personal information.
He pleaded guilty to one Count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree and one Count of Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree, both felonies, in November.
Li is one of four people arrested after the Golden Town Buffet in Glenmont was raided over the summer.
Authorities say they stole customers' credit card information then used it to make duplicate cards and made $50,000 in charges.
There were at least three dozen victims as Bethlehem Police began investigating this incident.
