Police: Mass. men stole TV’s from Wal-Mart, fled towards state border

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – East Greenbush Police say they
arrested two Massachusetts men who stole a large television from a Wal-Mart on
Thursday.

According to authorities, Simao Centeio, 40 and Eulises
Rosado Jr., 44, allegedly left the East Greenbush Wal-Mart, pushing two 50 inch
LG televisions out of the store without paying.

The suspects entered a 2005 Cadillac with Massachusetts
plates which was waiting for them.

Witnesses told police that the suspects were struggling to
fit both TV's in the back seat of the car. One of the suspects them put one TV
on the ground.

As they fled the scene, they backed up and ran over the TV,
which is now demolished, according to police.

Customers of the Wal-Mart contacted police and gave
directions of the men and the plate information.

Centeio and Rosado almost crossed over the state-line, but
Schodack Police, Nassau Village Police, and State Police worked together to
apprehend the pair on Route 20.

The men have been charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th
Degree and were remanded to the County Jail.
