DORSET, Vt. – A car crashed into the front of the Berkshire Bank in Dorset, Vermont Friday morning.
The Manchester Police Department says they received a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash into the front of the bank shortly before 11 a.m. Friday.
As authorities responded, an investigating reveal that Fred Dieffenbach, 80, was trying to park his car when he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. This caused the vehicle to accelerate forward, colliding with the Berkshire Bank building.
There were no injuries. However, there was significant damage to the structure of the building.
