One dies in Clifton Park car accident

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – A Wilton woman died after her car
collided with a tow truck Wednesday afternoon.

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office responded to the call
of an accident just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 9 in Clifton Park.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found 80-year-old
Dorothy Knorr deceased at the scene.

An investigation into the accident showed Kevin Bradt of
Schenectady was driving a flatbed tow truck southbound on Route 9 when Knorr
entered the roadway from the Harbor House restaurant parking lot causing the
collision.

Her husband, 80-year-old Gerald Knorr, was a passenger in
the vehicle and was transported to Saratoga Hospital with minor injuries.

Bradt was not injured, and tickets were not issued.

Route 9 was closed for several hours while crews
investigated the accident.

The accident was investigated by the Sheriff's Office
Accident Investigation Unit. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Clifton Park
Halfmoon EMS, Clifton Park Fire Department and NYS Department of
Transportation.
