Three Bronx women accused of stealing from Wal-Mart

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – Three women were arrested last week after they allegedly stole almost $5,000 worth of items from a Wal-Mart.

According to East Greenbush Police, the women had a two-year-old child with them at the time of the crime.

The women allegedly entered the Wal-Mart on Troy Road and stole three 32'' TV's, one 46'' TV, five assorted computers, two blenders, a Keurig coffee system, and several kitchen utensils. These items totaled $4,779.22.

All three women are accused of walking out of the store with the items and fleeing in a vehicle. Employees immediately called police.

Charnell Wardlow, 41, Traci Johnson, 42, and Ellen Lockwood, 46, all from the Bronx, have been charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a child. They have been remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.

Lockwood is also charged as a Fugitive from Justice because she is currently wanted by the Connecticut Department of Correction fugitive unit for Grand Larceny and Escape from a Work Order Program.

The child is Lockwood's daughter and has been turned over to a family friend, as advised by Child Protective Services.
