TROY, N.Y. – Troy police say three teenagers have been arrested after allegedly assaulting a robbing a 28-year-old man on Wednesday.
Troy Police responded to 232 Second Street around 6 p.m. where the victim was allegedly approached by three 16-year-old males before being punched and knocked to the ground.
One of the suspects allegedly took the victim's cell phone from his pocket and then fled with the other two suspects. A patrol saw the three teens, who matched the description, in the area of Madison and 2nd Street.
According to police, the victim suffered lacerations to the knees, hands, lower lip and head.
The teenage suspects were identified by witnesses and been charged with Robbery in the 2nd-degree and Assault in the 3rd-degree. They were arraigned in Troy Police Court on Thursday.
