Probationer arrested for possessing heroin and hypodermic needle

COBLESKILL, N.Y. – One Schoharie County man who was on
probation has been arrested for drug related charges.

The Cobleskill Police Department says they arrested Joseph
Panetta, 41, for Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Possession
of a Controlled Substance, both misdemeanors.

According to authorities, the Schoharie County Probation
Department was conducting a home check on Panetta when they found heroin and a
hypodermic needle.

Panetta was arraigned in the Town of Cobleskill Court on
Thursday and was remanded to Schoharie County Correctional Facility on $1,000
cash bail or $2,000 bond. He will be back in found on November 5.
