Sheriff: Man arrested for growing marijuana at a home with a minor

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Albany County Sheriff's Office says they
arrested a man for growing 47 marijuana plants in his home where his teenage
daughter lives.

According to authorities, Randall Travis III, 49, was
tending to 47 marijuana plants at his Holmes Court home in Albany.  Travis was growing the marijuana in the
basement of his home.  His 16-year-old
daughter also lives in the Albany home.

Investigators executed a search warrant recently and also
found grow lights, drying racks, grinders and packaging materials along with
more than a quarter pound of packaged marijuana.

Travis has been charged with Criminal Possession of
Marijuana in the First Degree, a felony. He also faces misdemeanors Unlawful
Growing Cannabis and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

He was arraigned in the Town of Colonie Court and was
released under the supervision of Probation.
