CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Fire prevention week kicked off Saturday in Clifton Park.

A Community Day event is open to the public for free from 11am-4pm at the Clifton Park Volunteer Fire Department.

There will be refreshments, bounce rides, fire truck rides, and more family-friendly activities.

This event doesn't just allow the community to come together for a great time but it also informs them about how to prevent fires in their communities.  There is also information available for those interested in becoming a member of the volunteer fire department.

Parking will be in the State Parking Lot at the corner of Route 146 and Fire Road.
