21-year-old charged with reckless endangerment after chase in Troy

TROY, N.Y. – Police officers were led on a car chase in
downtown Troy early Saturday morning which resulted in a car crash.

Around 1 a.m. officers attempted to pull over a vehicle at
the intersection of River and Fulton Streets. 
According to authorities, the driver fled the scene and led officers
down seven blocks.  The suspect was
allegedly driving the wrong way down one way streets during this chase.

The subject then tried to pull into the parking lot of the
old City Hall but hit a median between the building and an RPI dorm. 

The driver then took off on foot, after a brief pursuit he
was apprehended.

Troy Police say Kyle Kormos, 21, of Stephentown has been
arrested and charged with felony Reckless Endangerment, DWI, DWAI, and he faces
numerous traffic and vehicle violations.
