PARK(ing) Day in NY, isn’t for cars in one N. Pearl Street spot

Albany, N.Y. – One parking space on N. Pearl Street in Albany won't be used for cars on Friday.

Parks & Trails New York (PTNY) is taking over the parking space at 52 N. Pearl Street and is turning it into a temporary public campground for “PARK(ing) Day”.  PTNY hopes the greenery, tent, camping chairs, camp stove and marshmallows will be a temporary retreat in the middle of the city.

The organization is the leading advocate in the state for parks and trails with the goal for New Yorkers to understand how important it is to have a place to relax, rejuvenate, and recreate on Friday.
