Man arrested for attempted murder after stabbing in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. – A suspect is in custody after police say he
stabbed another man on Swinton and Thornton Streets.

Albany Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing
Wednesday around 10:45p.m.  When officers
arrived, a 40-year-old male victim was found with a puncture wound.  The victim told police he knew the man who
stabbed him during a dispute.

Officers located Damian Stenson, 36, shortly after the call.

He has been charged with Attempted Murder in the Second
Degree and Criminal Possesion of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He was
arraigned and sent to Albany County Jail.

The victim was treated and is listed in stable condition at
Albany Medical Center.
