Crash in Clifton Park results in injuries, road closures

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — New York State
Police are investigating a two car serious injury accident that occurred Thursday
on Route 146 west of Nott Road in Clifton Park.

Daniel Stack, 25, from Saratoga, was driving
his 2009 Honda Civic westbound on Route 146, when he crossed over the double
solid line, and struck a 2007 Camry head on. The Camry was operated by Ertugrul
Berkcan, 63, from Clifton Park.

Both parties were removed from the vehicles
by emergency responders, and flown to Albany Medical Center with serious
injuries. Route 146 was closed between Nott Road and Blue Barns Road from
approximately 12:15 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. while the scene was being
investigated. The accident is still under investigation, and charges are
expected to be filed upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The State Police were assisted by the
Rexford, Jonesville, Vischer Ferry, and Niskayuna Fire Departments, and the
Clifton Park Halfmoon Ambulance.
