It’s moving day for Saratoga Co. Animal Shelter’s Clifton Park annex

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Animal Shelter's cat annex has four
remaining cats available for adoption as they pack up to make room for tenants
who wish to rent the space.

The annex, currently located at the Clifton Park Center, had 42 cats to
adopt out at the beginning of the week. As of Saturday afternoon, that number
is down to four cats as volunteers attempt to find forever homes for the
animals. They hope to have the remaining animals adopted out, but if it that
doesn't happen, the pets will go into foster homes until they figure out the
next steps.

“The most important thing right now is to find them homes- forever
loving homes that is the most important thing. We are going to use every last
minute to find these guys homes,” said volunteer Diane Snay.

The mall's general manager says they will soon be renting the space to a new
tenant. The annex has been using the space at no cost for four years, but must
be out of the space by August 10th.

The shelter will remain open until 9 p.m. on Saturday August
10th.
