Troy man pleads guilty to possession of illegal handgun

ALBANY, N.Y. – A Troy man pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of illegally possessing a handgun.

Jeremiah Hemingway, 29, of Troy, pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second-Degree, a Felony, in Albany County Court.

On June 27, 2012 on Clinton Avenue in Albany, Hemingway was found to be in illegal possession of a Davis Industries .32 caliber loaded handgun.

He faces 5 years in State Prison followed by five years of Post Release Supervision when he is sentenced on October 15, 2013.
