EPHRATAH, N.Y. — The
National Transportation Safety Board says the Angel flight that crashed in
Fulton County last month took off as planned on May 24th.

An hour later, the plane
veered off course and started to lose elevation. NTSB officials are calling it
an in-flight “break up,” and say the crash left a mile long path of debris in Ephratah.

The pilot and a Utica
couple were killed in the crash. Angel flights provide transportation for
medical patients in need of care at facilities away from home.
