MILTON, NY – The Saratoga Sheriff's Dept. has arrested four local residents after investigating a burglary report at a home on Englehart Road in the Town of Milton.

The homeowner reported jewelry, U.S. coinage, and personal items missing from the residence on May 8. In the following weeks, information developed from various leads led to:

Caroline R. Garrity, 18, of Saratoga Springs; Michaela N. Luciano, 17, of Malta; Caitlyn E. Moynihan, 17, of Malta; and Morgan C. DelPrado, 17, of Burnt Hills.

It was also discovered that two of the accused entered the home on a prior date, May 3, and stole jewelry but it was not immediately known until the second burglary on May 8.

The defendants were familiar with the occupants of the home and made entry to the dwelling when the owners were known to be at work or school. They were familiar with how to access the home without force.

All admitted to their role in the theft. The jewelry was pawned at Olde Saratoga Coin in Saratoga Springs and Gold Buyers in Mechanicville. Total value of the stolen jewelry was estimated to be $10,000.

Garrity and Luciano were charged with one count of Burglary, 2nd degree, a C-Felony. Moynihan and DelPrado were charged with two counts of Burglary, 2nd degree.

They were all arraigned in the Town of Milton Court, released to their parents, and are scheduled to return to Milton Town Court on June 11 at 2 p.m.
