Fallen heroes remembered during Albany motorcade

ALBANY, N.Y. – Fallen heroes were remembered Saturday along an
American flag draped Route 9 with a motorcade procession.

A community project, Please Remember Me is meant to remember
members of the Capital Region community who have given their lives while in
combat since WWII.

Along the route, 126 American flags draped with black cloth
hung from utility poles, each one representing 12 Capital Region veterans.

The Gold Star family Motorcade Procession began at noon at
Albany's city line. It then proceeded down Route 9 in Colonie for about 4 miles
to Route 155.

The flags will remain along the route until July 6.
