BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. — It's a bird, it's a plane – it's an iguana?

Ballston Spa police say an iguana spent a few hours stuck in a tree on West high Street on Thursday. According to NEW CENTER viewer Keleigh Tyler, her friend Nicole Ross rescued “Mo” eight years ago.

Tyler tells the NEWS CENTER that the iguana busted a screen out of the first floor apartment window and somehow squeezed out of the small opening. The pet then climbed up a tree, and became stuck.

Mo was eventually rescued; Ross tells the NEWS CENTER that a friend's neighbor, Andrew Carey, climbed the tree “without even thinking twice.” Carey placed the iguana in a canvas contractor bag, zipped it up and lowered it to the ground on a rope.

Ross tells the NEWS CENTER she's thankful Carey took the time to help out, and that she continues to sends her thanks to him!
