STOCKPORT, N.Y. — Over the past six months the small Columbia County town of Stockport has had quite a few problems, including $250,000 missing from the town budget, water quality, and the rising cost of that water.
Now the town's water supplier is opening its doors to residents. The Stockport Water Plant, on 611 County Route 25, will hold an open house Saturday.
Since mid-November, many residents called the water into question raising concerns over the quality and how much it cost.
Three tours will be held Saturday morning at 9, 10 and 11 a.m.
More information on the open house, including directions and where to park, is available here: http://townofstockport.org/departments/water__wastewater_department
