ALBANY, N.Y. – The 9th bi-annual Restaurant Week
kicks off in Downtown Albany this weekend, with 14 restaurants offering
three-course meals for the price of $20.13.
“Since its inception in 2004, Downtown Albany's Restaurant
Weeks have had a combined economic impact of over $5 million,” explained Mayor
Gerald D. Jennings.
Four different special promotions will be held during the
Student Night- On
Monday, April 22, college students can show a valid ID and dine on the three
course menu for $15.13 at Jack's oyster House, La Serre, V&R Italian
Ristorante, Victory Café, and Wolf's 1-11 Arena Sports Grill.
Date Night- On
Tuesday, April 23, the first 10 couples to dine at one of the restaurant week
locations will receive a complimentary rose.
Capital Ticket- On
Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25, parties of four or more will have
a chance to win a $200 gift certificate to any business within Downtown Albany
Business Improvement District.
Eat Great. Win Great.
– By filling out a survey about their dining experience, patrons can enter
to win gift certificates.
The Albany Parking Authority will offer a $2 evening parking
rate during Restaurant Week.
“Our three garages offer great options for individuals visiting
downtown Albany during Restaurant Week and year-round,” said Michael Klein, Executive
Director of the Albany Parking Authority. “Drivers can park in the Riverfront Garage
for only $2 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays, and take their time to enjoy what
downtown Albany has to offer. For those that choose to leave their car
overnight, the weekday rate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. is $11, and the weekend rate
is only $5 per day.
The Riverfront garage entrance is located on Columbia Street
between Broadway and Water Street, and this facility also connects with the
pedestrian bridge to the Corning Preserve.
The Green-Husdon and Quackenbush garages also feature the $2
