SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – 'The Place Beyond the Pines' premiered in Schenectady Thursday night and many of the actors in the movie were on hand, including Bradley Cooper.
For hours, fans lined up outside of the Bow Tie Theatres in the Electric City waiting to catch a glimpse of the actors and the director.
Derek Cianfrance, the film director, said he would absolutely return to Schenectady again because the city welcomed him with open arms.
“I like the world up here,” he said.
Actor Bradley Cooper also showed up Thursday evening saying that he loved his experience and still stays in touch with some of the people he met while filming.
The movie opens to audiences nationwide on Friday.
The 2 1/2 hour movie stars Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes
is about a motorcycle stuntman (Gosling) who has a son living in
Schenectady and attempts to insert himself in his son's life.
